Simple, Straight-forward and from a legit source

I've been ordering the powdered product for quite sometime now but have always thought that it would/should be fairly easy to grow at home and I was right. It's been a couple months since I've set up my little tank and I'll get about a tablespoon a day from it, which is perfect to supplement my diet with. Plus, I'm amazed at how good the spirulina tastes! You can literally the whole tablespoon plain no prob, tastes almost like an egg yolk, with a creamier texture. Plus, growing it your self is soooo cool! Friends are always asking me what it is and I love having them try the fresh stuff, they are always surprised how good it tastes. Also, Dr. Wolf-Baum (who apparently is also a NASA algae scientist) is available for questions if you need him. I hight recommend this book, especially for 10 bucks :)

Grow Your Own Spirulina is a Masterpiece

Dr. Baum is very well trained on the subject matter. This becomes obvious when you read the book. Being well trained or educated is one skill set. Being able to make this sometimes technical information easy to understand for the diverse population who are interested in this subject is another skill set. Dr. Baum has both of these skill sets in spades. He is a natural born teacher. I can't wait for his next book. Paul Nagle, Taylor, Texas.

Excellent introductory guide to "farming" your own superfood in your living space. I sincerely appreciate that Dr. Baum tells you precisely how to mix your own growth medium. It shows me that he is more interested in the widespread dissemination of this knowledge, than he is in simply making a buck.

Excellent Point Of care Resource on DIABETES for Primary Care

I just bought my hard copy last month and I have also heard Dr Jeff Unger in person on diabetes seminars. He is a primary care physician and being primary care physician myself this book is all I need to know improve diabetes care for my patients. This is not a Harisson or a detailed Thesis on Diabetes but practicle great point of care informations and diferent tools which can be used in an office settings to educate patient and office staff to improve diabetes care. With the fact that 90% of Diabetic population in US (out of approx 22 million people with diabetes)being taken care by Primary care physicians this is a must have tool I believe. The only thing better than the book is to hear Dr Jeff Uner in person. I would definately recommened this book to every Primary care MD or residents.

Excellent diabetes management reference for PCPs

I have just completed the section explains insulin initiation in this book, and it was enjoyable reading. One can read medical references like Harrison's about diabetes, but this is the book specifically written for primary care provider. All the information in the book has been written in practical manner so PCP can apply it instantly. My only complain is the book is printed in black and white, even the pictures. It has many helpful tables and algorithms, but it would have been much better if they were color coded.

Diabetes Text book

Amazingly comprehensive review of all aspects of diabetes. This book is up to date, evidence-based, case based and most importantly, written from the heart. Rarely do medical text books read like novels. This is the exception. Check out the chapter on managing mental illness in patients with diabetes. The complications chapter is the most comprehensive and current review I have encountered.

It is very difficult to write a text suitable for tecnical

school and college undergraduate level at the same time.

The authors have accomplished this.

With this text you can begin learning to program in Mastercam

from the first chapter.

The CD included makes familarization work without the expense

of buying the full program.

excellent mastercam book i recommend it

being a former cnc programmer and now instructor i am very impressed with this book. It is easy for novices to learn the proper techniques of mastercam programming. It presents a logical learning pattern using graphics instead of confusing
and lenghty definitions contained in many other texts.I found the exercises to be well designed to illustrate the important
aspects of the software. Machinig exercises contain detailed
process tables to help the student understand the sequence of operations and tooling needed to produce the part. As a bonus
the text comes with a fully functional student version of mastercam V9.0 and accompanying student exercises so students
can practice at home. I like the fact that the authors concentrated on laying a through foundation in 2D CAD and
machining and not creating more comfusion by mixing in more complex topics like 3D CAD and maching principles. I assume
additional in depth texts on mastercam turning and 3D machinig will follow.

Not only respectable, but highly recommended

While a co-worker was spending hundreds of dollars to learn Mastercam at the local college, I learned as much at the same pace at home with this fine book. It should be sub-titled as a tutorial. The book begins assuming you know nothing about CAD or CAM. It carefully explains in a straight-forward method all you need to know. Everything is done in sequence so each excercise teaches new commands to be used. It is a great primer for new users learning Mastercam Mill. I have shared it with experienced users at work as a reference manual for 2-D machining. The book comes with a Students disk containing Mastercam software and exercises, to help you learn. This was a real time-saver for me. I would recommend this book to all beginners and professionals.

Percival's Tamil Dictionary

Being a dictionary, this is for nothing more than reference. Despite the size, it does have quite a few entries. Unlike Oxford English-Tamil Dictionary which seems to give meanings in long sentences, Percival's provides equivalent Tamil words and synonyms. Those looking for meanings, go for the Oxford dictionary but those needing word equivalents, go for Percival's.

As far as how quickly it arrived and whether the book was as described, I say yes to both.

Excellent training book

This book was recommended to me by my drum teacher. There are excellent drills or patterns in this book which are great for beginners and expert players as well. My only complaint (as with nearly all music books) is that it should be spiral bound. Bound books (which are hard to keep open on music stands) should have no place in music libraries.

A must have for every working drummer! Some unusual drum styles presented. All drum grooves presented in clear, concise large print. Very useful for the versatile drummer working a variety of gigs-Neat Book! Very similar to "Drumset Grooves" written by Patrick Riley. I like Riley's book just a little bit better because of the format.

They slip phrases into their stew and wrap meaning around their pork before frying it. They make narrative dumplings and stuff their daughter's mouths so they say nothing more." The stories inform and enrich one another, as the female characters reveal a common ancestry and ties to the fictional Ville Rose. In addition to the power of Danticat's themes, the book is enhanced by an element of suspense (we're never certain, for example, if a rickety boat packed with refugees introduced in the first tale will reach the Florida coast).
