Must have reference.

Occasional help for boards ddx lists, but most helpful on call when you see an abnormality for which you need an appropriate ddx. This book has never let me down. No pictures. Pretty much just a list of ddx organized by finding. The lists are well referenced if you need additional info and/or pics. I like it much better than Dahnert.

Laundry list.

Not nearly as useful as I had hoped. There aren't differentials for everything, but hey who's perfect? The problem is that although they are arranged by anatomy, they seem too incomplete/random to use as a reference. And who has the time to read through and learn which differentials are actually useful? Most, unfortunately, are just laundry lists without embellishment, listing the incredible obscure sometimes above the common entities. And you'll need to make your own mnemonics. I thought this was a classic, but I think it's more of an antiquity. The google machine is probably more efficent. I'll give it two stars for great price, great condition (it was supposedly used, but looked perfect and shrink wrapped), and prompt shipping.

About the Author
RJ Teles,M.Ed. has been an investigator and "student" of the UFO phenomenon for almost 50 years and has worked with numerous UFO groups including NICAP, MUFON, NUFORC, and the Center for UFO Studies. During that time he has completed over 300 investigations and numerous interviews with military and government witnesses. RJ provides training on the UFO investigative process and techniques, and is a consultant to investigators in data, photo and video analysis.He has also conducted forensic analysis of numerous high-profile historical UFO incidents.He holds a Master's degree in Information Technology Research and Development and worked as a technical consultant on cyber systems security, threat assessment and mitigation, and forensic data analysis for the government and private corporations. Great New Information

I think there are secrets here that neither the government nor some "ufologists" want us to know. I found this book to be quite interesting because of the new UFO/ET information I've not seen anywhere else, especially in regards to Roswell, the US Government's secret programs and the involvement of the church with the Men in Black. The ET-human connection is definitely a shocker. At the same time, it also strikes a controversial chord in regards to the revelations concerning some of the most infamous UFO incidents and the Betty/Barney Hill and Travis Walton abduction stories. The arguments in support of the information presented are quite compelling. And, if all this is correct, the ending can be very disturbing to those blissfully unaware of our ET connection and its potential impact on our future. Quick and easy read.

GREAT BOOK!

This was a great book to read!! I preordered looking forward to reading this book. And wow...it really does take you out of reality at points. I found myself taking the red pill just to see how far down the rabbit hole it goes with UFOs and extraterrestrials. The story was nicely wrapped together in a fun, easy to read package though at times I had to slow down to digest all the info. Highly recommend it!

If you want to quench your UFO thirst....!

I enjoyed this. It was interesting. Nothing exactly new. A decent attempt at packaging several readily available essays into a quick read (3 hours, maybe?).
If you enjoy watching the UFO files (or whatever these shows are called), this will give you a little lift, much the same as listening to a recording artists "lost tapes" (that are the same "un-produced" recordings that were released as the finished product earlier)

O'Ryan... delightfully campy name! (Not a spoiler..)

If you dig UFOLOGY, Chariots of The Gods, and Coast To Coast AM, DEFINETLY read it! This will entertain you and give you a little more fuel to occupy your thoughts during insomnia.

I would be interested to hear/read/know what Whitley Strieber's critique would be!

EDIT: A justification for the 3 stars... only the literary flow, and the word "SEPERATE(ly)" always capitalized? Otherwise a great read

I have been interested in futures and options markets for many years and I have studied and traded these markets with enthusiasm and respect for the splendor of the marketplace. The importance of futures and options markets in the global economy has grown remarkably and the industry remains highly dynamic and exciting. This book is written as a textbook for an upper level undergraduate course in futures and options markets taught in schools of business, economics, or agricultural and applied economics. Students in an MBA program are also a target audience, as are professional financial planners, and money managers. The objective of this book is to provide an economic understanding of the development and operation of futures and options markets. This book presents an integrated explanation of the market institutions, theory, and empirical evidence. It provides the reader with an intuitive explanation of the complicated nature of futures and options markets. The material in this book is presented in a way that is accessible to students with training in economics, mathematics, and statistics at the principles level. Mathematics and formulas are kept to a minimum in this book because it is meant to be introductory material.

I have attempted to make the material interesting and easy to understand. Numerous real-world examples are provided explaining how practitioners use futures and options markets. An outstanding introduction to futures and options markets, clear, concise and bursting with examples and current issues and controversies. Unlike most futures and options textbooks this text focuses on all types of assets - commodity, financial, energy etc. The book's blend between theory and applications and examples is outstanding. The applications, which are an intergral part of each chapter makes this a must for students and established researchers who want to gain a full understanding of the current state of the futures and options industry.

A Student's Perspective

The word BORING is what usually comes to mind when I read textbooks for my classes. They are not something I look forward to because I typically drift off into never-never-land. Usually they're missing some dynamic, and as a result they just don't seem to capture my attention.
However, this textbook sparked a DIFFERENT reaction in me. First off, I found the futures and opinions market interesting and the material in the textbook easy to understand. It was teeming with examples and diagrams that enhanced my grasp on the fundamentals behind the market. Unlike other textbooks, I found that I ENJOYED the reading. In particular, I enjoyed the numerous real-world applications provided in the boxes throughout the chapters.
I believe the greatest asset in this book are these real-world applications like: how price movements in the orange juice markets market could forecast freezing temperatures better than the U.S. National Weather service, to the enormous role hedging plays for the airline industries. By intertwining stimulating examples into the required nitty-gritty, it held my attention. I thought reading this textbook was both educational and FUN. It sparked in me a new-found enthusiasm in futures and opinions.

Futures and Options Markets

This is written by a professor of agricultural economics at UC Davis. The guy has a Ph.d from Berkeley. He has taught a course called "Futures and Options Markets" for about 20 years. I took the course and read the whole book. Now that I am several years out from then and have learned a lot more about the subject, I have realized this book was way above average. The best selling books are not always the best. It doesn't go into depth about how to write options or use different derivative strategies, but it does provide a very secure introduction into the subject of futures and basic hedging with options. Basically the best read I had in my undergraduate years.
